Johannes Odé is a Dutch freelance photojournalist and architect, born in Amsterdam in 1945, who has traveled extensively to non-western countries since 1977. His work focuses on reports for publications deals a lot with hunger, with notable coverage in India (1972–2006), Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. This photo was taken in 1986 at the Ranakpur Jain temple in the Rajasthan District of India. The white borders have been trimmed off leaving the original photo (not a print) 7x9.5 inches instead of 8x10. It is in good vintage condition with a little wear, slight yellowing, and remnants of tape on the back (see photo).
